Ventilation hat replacement

Ventilation hat connection is leaking and water is dripping through the ceiling when it rains. The insurance company people had a look at they say the hat has to be replaced. They would fix any water damage after the leak has been fixed.
Also as a separate thing a drain pipe needs fixing.
